This landscape renovation solved severe drainage problems and created a new outdoor living space for the homeowners. Excavation, grading, and block wall underlayment creates a seamless, no-step patio that relates to the existing deck. Perimeter drains surround the new architectural slab patio with seating walls to both retain the grade and provide additional places to sit. An innovative water feature is carved into supporting boulders, channeling water across the landscape and spilling over an ornamental pot. Boulder rockeries support the background grade and a rock staircase allows access to the upper yards. Privacy is created by a decorative wood screen fence with integrated iron artwork. Ornamental grasses complement the wood screen and add to the privacy. Vibrant accent foliage and flowering plantings along with low voltage lighting complete this wonderful new environment.
