Our client wanted to transform their property into a welcoming and expansive outdoor space for family gatherings and large hosted events. The design focused on reducing an oversized sport court to make room for new planting areas, multiple seating hubs, and a full outdoor kitchen—all while complementing the home’s existing farmhouse style with a relaxed, cottage aesthetic.

Significant challenges included removing over 1,200 square feet of reinforced concrete, protecting the roots of a mature tree adjacent to the new deck and kitchen area, and resolving major drainage issues after construction. Through careful planning and execution—including precise root mapping, soil amendments, and recycled material removal—the result is a cohesive and functional outdoor environment with flagstone pathways, lush low-maintenance plantings, and subtle lighting that make it inviting year-round.
