How would you describe your landscape design process? I begin by listening to the client’s needs, lifestyle, and vision, then study the site’s strengths and limitations. From there, I create a conceptual design balancing function, form, and beauty, refining it collaboratively to ensure it reflects their personality and remains practical and timeless.
Are there certain styles or aesthetics that inspire your work? I enjoy the simplicity of contemporary design, but I also favor timeless designs with strong structure softened by plantings. Combining contemporary style with timeless elements often creates a beautiful hybrid.
Which landscape elements do you most enjoy using in your designs? I’m especially drawn to gathering spaces—patios, fire pits, and seating areas—because they turn a landscape into a place for connection and memories.
Are there plants you’re particularly drawn to? I gravitate toward plants that provide multi-season interest and thrive with minimal fuss in our climate. Ornamental grasses are great for this, as they come in all shapes, colors, and sizes and provide great texture and movement.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work? Outside of landscape design, I enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and spending time with my family.
